CLASSES OF IP ADDRESS

J       Ip address grouped inti 5 class A,B,C are comercial address and are assigned to host. Class Disreserved for multicast and for class E isfor experimental use.

J      Class C address have three octets for the network portion and one for the host. The default subnet mask is 24 bits (255. 255. 255. 0). Class C address are ussally assigned to small network.

J      Class B address have 2 octets to represent the network portion and two for the host. The default subnet mask is 16 bits (255.255.0.0). these address are typically used for medium-sized network.

J     Class A address have only one octet to represent the network partion and three to represent thr boots. The default subnet mask is 8 bits,(255.0.0.0). these address are typically assigned to large organization.
